If we acknowledge those we cherish... we are grateful
It may seem that the comfort of the things we know, gives us a sense of security and well-being. Perhaps we feel this way because we have everything that is important in our life surrounding us, and we think we do not need to search for anything else. |
But...we might consider simply appreciating all that is close to us, what they call *counting your Blessings*. |
While we spend our time with a family member, a friend, or even a pet, we can recognize and silently *thank the universe* for their presence in our life. If we take a few moments to imagine what our life would be like without them, and then reflect on how much they enrich our life, we will surely appreciate them more! We will find that this makes us feel an even greater sense of Peace and Gratitude for all that we are and have.
Acknowledging people or things that we cherish in our lives, helps us appreciate everything the universe has given us. It is easy to take our loved ones for granted, since they are present in our lives on a daily basis. But when we take a moment to think about what they bring to our lives, we truly understand their worth.
Doing this gives us a feeling of greater connectedness with them, and also a sense of being centered in ourselves. By seeing that our loved ones are the anchor that keeps us grounded, we will appreciate their value in our life even more.
And on top of it all...we konw that by being thankful (exactly the opposite of complaining!) we will each time recieve more and more grace!
